Subcellular_localizationOverexposed high magnification micrographs of hypodermal nuclei suggested that WDR-46::GFP is highly enriched in a subnuclear structure with the appearance of nucleoli. Hoechst staining confirmed WDR-46::GFP localization in a subnuclear structure of the intestine; similar subnuclear fluorescence was observed in the pharynx. WDR-46::GFP was localized to the large nucleoli of the intestine.

PatternWDR-46::GFP was first visible in late-stage embryos as multiple distinct puncta. In L4 larvae and young adults, WDR-46::GFP fluorescence occurred as puncta in the hypo- dermis and intestine. We also observed WDR-46:: GFP in the body wall muscle, germline, and several cells in the head.
