| Pattern | The 'a' isoform of paxillin is expressed in all 95 body wall muscle cells in anadult animal, as well as in the pharyngeal muscle cells. Strong localization of PXL-1a(cDNA)::GFP is seen in adult body wall muscle at dense bodies, as well as adhesion plaques between adjacent muscle cells. Weak GFP localization also can be observed at the M-line. In the pharynx, expression of PXL-1a(cDNA)::GFP can be seen in all muscle cells, localized to both the luminal and cuticular membranes. PXL-1a(cDNA)::GFP is localized in small punctae, as well in ring like structures near muscle cell membranes. | |
