Subcellular_localizationTo examine where PALS-17 and PALS-20 proteins are expressed and if they colocalize in intestinal cells, we examined PALS-17::GFP and PALS-20::wrmScarlet translational reporters co-expressed in the same animals. We found that these two proteins formed puncta in a subset of intestinal cells, and in most cases, they colocalized with each other. Furthermore, we observed fluorescent signals from both reporters at the apical border of the intestinal cells, lining the intestinal lumen. PALS-17 and PALS-20 were also diffusely expressed in the cytosol in some intestinal cells.
