Overview
C36C5.1a
Brief identification:
Serpentine receptor class ab pseudogene
Curatorial remarks
[151020 gw3] Updated the structure at the start of the second intron to match the RNASeq intron splice data. Hugh Robertson's original comments are: "I believe this is a pseudogene with a frameshift caused by an insertion of a T immediately before one of the introns - X below - compare with its closest relative C36C5.2. The current version which avoids this problem calls for shifting the intron downstream around 30bp and changing the phase - not impossible, but unlikely in my judgement."
evidence
modified into a pseudogene based on data from Hugh Robertson. [tb 20050223]
