Although the velocities of each protein were unaffected in
osta-1 mutants, both the anterograde and retrograde flux of GFP::RAB-5 was markedly increased. Approximately twice as many RAB-5 particles were found to be mobile in both the anterograde and retrograde directions in
osta-1 mutants as in wild type. These observations suggest that OSTA-1 can be vesicle-associated and regulates the trafficking of RAB-5 vesicles in the AWB dendrite.
