PHENOTYPE: Homozygous mutants exhibit askew, sometimes kinked or curled, fragile vibrissae and unkempt-appearing body hair, apparently owing to disoriented guard hairs. Some aged mutants exhibit scabbing and tissue loss on the borders of the pinnae and tail tip. [provided by MGI curators]
