Lnk (Lnk) encodes a member of the SH2B family of adaptor proteins. It functions within the insulin signalling pathway as an intracellular adaptor for the insulin receptor. It stabilises the interaction between the activated insulin receptor and the insulin receptor substrate, which are encoded by InR and chico respectively.
