Expr15210
We found that animals expressing the Pmir-234::gfp transgene exhibit GFP fluorescence in a subset of neurons, evident from late embryogenesis throughout larval development and in adults. To identify the specific neurons expressing Pmir-234::gfp, we performed co-localization studies using a combination of DiI staining and crosses into strains expressing RFP in known neuronal subtypes (Tong and Burglin, 2010). Using this strategy, we unambiguously identified 13 neurons expressing Pmir-234::gfp, including multiple neuron classes: sensory neurons (ADL, ASG, ALM, AVM, PHA, PVM), interneurons (AIM, PVQ, PVT, RID), motorneuron(HSN)and pharyngeal neurons (I4 and I6).
