Consistent with previous reports (Chatzigeorgiou et al., 2013; Zhang et al., 2015), we detected the expression of TMC-1 in a wide range of amphid and phasmid neurons as well as body wall muscle cells. Importantly, TMC-1 is also expressed in HSN neurons as indicated by the co-localization of Ptmc-1::mCherry and Pegl-6::GFP, which has been previously reported to label HSN neurons (Ringstad and Horvitz, 2008). However, no TMC-1 expression was detected in vulval muscles using our TMC-1 transcriptional reporter line.
