Using the translational reporter line expressing GFP-tagged MINA-1 opIs408, we found that mina-1::gfp was expressed only in the transition and pachytene zones, suggesting that mina-1 mRNA might be post-transcriptionally repressed within the mitotic and late meiotic zones. Subcellularly, MINA-1 was localized mainly to perinuclear foci, which were adjacent to germline P granules.
